I found a wallet which had 2,000 dollars in it. How should I spend it?

Answer #1

If I found a wallet with $2000 in it I would not be able to spend it until I put in a great effort to find out who this money belonged to. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who lost the money in the first place. I would hope that some honest person would come forward and admit he or she found it and try to find the owner.

Don’t just see how much money is in it. See if it consists of any addresses or id cards or something else. Send it back to the rightful owner please.

Search the wallet for ID. It could be a very hard thing to give back the money, but it’s also very true to put yourself in the shoes of the other. Can you imagine the joy you bring to the person when you return the money? Not to mention how that person will talk all about your kind act. You will have gained a valuable friend who could be there to help you out (not in a monetary way)anytime you would need it. What goes around comes around I believe. A kind unselfish act will come back to you in some way.

IF YOU KNOW THE ADDRESS PLEASE GIVE HIM BACK..IF NOT IT IS BETTER YOU GIVE THAT MONEY TO SOME PEOPLE WHO IS VERY MUCH IN NEED FOR THAT MONEY. BECAUSE THE MONEY WHICH IS NOT OUR OWN WILL CAUSE OTHER DIFFICULTIES. YOU WILL BE THE HONEST PERSON IF YOU GIVE IT BACK TO THE OWNER.
THANK YOU

You shouldn’t spend it! You should search the wallet for information as to who it may belong to. Do everything you can to return this wallet to its owner.

I don’t believe I would spend it. I would simply return it to the owner if such I.D. was found. It doesn’t mean you cant enjoy the thought of spending it!

you shouldn’t. If you found a wallet, it likely has some sort of ID in it and you should do your best to locate the owner. If you do not, you are stealing. It would be immoral not to put forth a substantial effort to find the rightful owner.

Well if you don’t want to return it, I would say to save half of it and spend the rest on bills to pay, clothes, groceries, etc.

you should not use that money because it is not yours. Yous should rather look for an id card or any document that can help you to reach the owner of that wallet. If you find any contact data go ahead and return the wallet if you dont than you can just go and submit it to the nearest police station.

Check for owner info in wallet first and track down owner. If unable to find owner info turn it into police and hope the owner will come forward and great things happen with honesty!
